I Love Kek Batik

Jom masuk sesi masak memasak jap ye..chef Intan mau sharing2..hahaha chef la sangat!!

Sangat lama rasa tak buat kek batik..i've did few times before but the outcome not so promising..taste ade sikit out..presentation cam cair2 n bit weird..haha..but past is pastkan..open new book..

Credit to miss bride to be, Syafa aka my ex-housemate before en suami move in for the recipe..suke2 and Alhamdulillah berjaya..hoyeeee!! for bride2be or wifey yang nak try make dessert for hubby or amik hati MIL...you are welcome to kidnap the recipe..

sediakan bahan2..
  • milo (1 small packet, i used 5 spoons of Milo dalam tin)
  • condensed & vitaminised milk (1 small tin) - hehe utk kesihatan la konon :)
  • butter ( i chose Buttercup)
  • biskut Marie cap Hup Seng secukup rasa ( pecahkan into 4 pieces siap)
  • cocoa powder ( instead of Van Houten, i chose Herseys punya..tu je yg ade)
  • nescaffe (1 teaspoon) - i added this for more chocolatey flavour..orang cakap taknak bagi rasa terlalu manis
how to do? - important note : make sure api tu korg bukak slow je tau..
  • melt butter and continuously stir in slow heat
  • once completely melt, put milk and slowly mix until u see ala2 bubble coming out ...maintain api kecik..
  • put milo - slowly using spoon, keep stir..
  • put nescaffe and cocoa powder..
  • lastly..letak biskut Marie bila rasa susah2 nak gaul adunan itu..
  • letak dalam bekas n tekan2 utk padatkan..put in fridge to cold them
letak serbuk2 biskut marie as deco~
  • potong bila ready and done!
please ignore the shape yg kurengs itu..most important thing? rasanya harus sedap kan :)

btw, i made singgang ikan, fried fish and salted fish on the day i made kek batik..so after dinner..hidangkan kek batik as dessert :)

    full fat butter looks scary, and good kek batik has the biskut marie tak terlalu lembik kan- dunno abt yours.
    singgang nmpk orait gk. ngah dok makan ikan proper lama dh sejak dtg sini, tuna (sandwich) ada la T_T. dok mampu eh huhu :P

  2. yes..my kek batik was not lembik..still rasa crunchy..hehe singgang tu okla tp can be better :)
