Flower Candy

When i saw this picture, really reminds me about my childhood time..

Twenty years ago, back in Terengganu, my father always brought me and my younger sister to this shop - made by wood, buruk and one very kampung chinese aunty (if not mistaken)..this shop only sold few tidbits with very cheap price..(orang kampung tak ambil untung banyak2..that's what i love the most about kampung)..

We used to call this shop as "kedai bulat-bulat".. my sister and i just called that because we didn't know this candy exact name..just know bentuk bulat-bulat.. :)

From the picture i share, its called flower candy..during my time..there's one more shape..a key (kunci)-shaped..its hard for me to find these candies now..maybe almost extinct and only kedai buruk2 sell them..I don't think kids nowadays ever wish to grab this 'antique' candies..they just know Cadbury..Hersyes..Kinder Bueno..Patchi..yeahh..only branded ones..

Let us bring back these 1000 memories candies..for our candy buffet or doorgifts if possible..who says cheap candies can't be part of our wedding day?

She Liked The Handbouquet

Whether its true or just ayat ambil hati...she liked the hand bouquet..i was very happy for such great opportunity.. really honoured as Sha accepted me to sponsor her solemnization hand bouquet..this is the project i mentioned in earlier entry here.

The idea of sponsoring hand bouquet was really sudden..Sha texted via facebook and asked about my MUA and some wedding preps roughly two weeks prior her big day..from Sha, she visited my blog (terharu lagi..) before her wedding to get some ideas..hopefully you got something from my blog Sha :)

While chatting, Sha mentioned that she was yet to plan for her solemnization hand bouquet..

I asked her if she can accept if i sponsor her hand bouquet..she agreed...yeay~ after jotting down her solemnization theme, date and time..time for planning!

c) How to take care of fresh flowers? (really important as Sha's solemnization in Terengganu and I'm in KL) Checked!

Happy Thursday all..

What a happy week I had..i love weekends and public holidays..siapa la yang tak suke kan :) Hope you were happy too..can't wait for even longer public holidays next week..

Today, am writing this entry to share below beautiful dress (yeah i love pastels) from Atilia Amani and..

tips/sharing from wedding designer..guess who? clue : he's one of top 24 Masterchef Malaysia. What a talented designer and cook.. i didn't know how he disqualified from Masterchef because i missed that episode..tau-tau dah keluar...

He's Zery Zamry - i saw him once n WHI early this month talking about wedding budget and expectation..and while online today..i read his entry..the entry already 3 years old but i think his tips and sharing are still valid and useful for b2be..

His entry was quite lengthy, but the ideas were:

Designer and tailor were totally different entities..tailor just make your dress with material design you give while designer is responsible for the whole procees..from designing, finding best material with your budget and make it beautifully done!

Don't be too bridezilla - low budget but requesting for diamonds and heavy beadings..ukur baju badan sendiri la beb..nama pun designer kan..first time you enter the boutique..obviously you can estimate starting price from boutique interior design and designer's name himself/herself..huhu..seramss..tapi kalau tak tanya tak tahu kan...who knows..you're the lucky one with best offer..

The easiest way, allocate budget accordingly and let designers take charge of your dress..

First Project in Progress

This is just a short entry. Am currently in midst of arranging something. Just a simple air tangan for my beloved friend.

Am going back to Terengganu this week and will share the outcome later ok..hopefully my first air tangan is acceptable and a stepping stone for more and more in future :)

Benda ni actually personal, i dont really like to share my problem with bloggers..tak nak nampak kecoh2 cerita personal live dan menagih simpati..but i gagahkan diri to seek all your doa..tolong doakan boleh?

This 17 Jan 2012, at Prince Court Medical Centre (PCMC), en hubby and i will meet Doc Seri (gynae), insyaAllah. I would like to get confirmation from expert aka gynae about my condition..sangat menakutkan..i don't like hospitals..tak kira la pergi dentist ke..lawat orang sakit ke..even the smell of clinics cam ala2 dettol already scare me..my heart beat definitely running on fastest mode..itu confirm..all these while i prefer to see doctor personally..tak suke bawak peneman..but since dah kahwin, en suami always wants to accompany me..okla fine! :)

I've been married for 1 year, since my friends and officemates suggest to set appointment with gynae..so pasrah je la..personally i dont think my mother and MIL agreed with my decision sebab diorang cakap awal lagi ni..hurmm..dah la office insurance tak cover unless am pregnant..takpela..i went to panel clinic and ask for referral letter...they asked me to fax the letter to PCMC prior appointment..(reason irregular menses)

Before deciding to set an appointment, i browsed several websites (dr zubaidi, hamid arshat,etc) and blogs to analyze myself and compare.

First thing, your irregular menses..hurm i dont have any problem with that..tepat 28 hari cycle nye..period pain pun mild and only penat suke tidur (tapi i memang suke tidur tak period pun)..
Secondly, hemoglobin level..i did hemoglobin test last month sebab penat and fortunately was ok..from doctor's consultation, normal female level within 11-16 and mine was 15.5. Platelet, white blood cell and cholestrol level were also very good..
Stress level, maybe this is the root cause. But this month, my stress level is manageable..haiya work work and people talking..macamla company bankrupt if i left the company..

Hummm whatever it is..check je la ye..huhu hopefully Dr Seri just check and scan my tummy dulu...bagi supplement ke..hehe manela tau this month sekali check2 dah ada baby..haha terus ING cover..i hate check kat bawah tu..taknak boleh? most scariest part to accept! Haha nak check tu pun takut..padahal tak sedar sakit beranak lagi sakit kot..

Hopefully nothing bad happen to me and en hubby..its just Allah belum nak bagi rezeki..please don't let anything bad happen..taknak en hubby and Mak susah hati please..tolonglah Ya Allah..

Hantaran Arrangement

Hi all,

Some may think choosing hantaran and their arrangements are just tiny miny things that we personally make it complicated..yes..am personally agree with you..hehe sekali seumur hidup stess fikir..some people may think its like a show-off if you display your hantaran to public..lagi lagi kalau hantaran branded..

Sirih junjung is a tradition..

Mas kahwin or dowry is required by tok kadi before starting solemnization..to ensure amount to be mentioned during solemnization is available..

Regardless how much hantaran you give and get from groom, the value of each hantaran and deco..i would suggest b2be to plan your hantaran arrangement..subject to venue..kalau rumah besau bebenau..susunla memanjang camni..got platform some more..

or memanjang camni..see the differences? dua-dua mengadap pelamin tapi satu horizontal..satu vertical..

If your house space is limited..cukup-cukup masuk je..you may consider this..Siti Sarah and Shiub solemnization..

hantaran simpan dalam shelves/rak..cantik and save space..pelamin macam dalam kotak rasanya..tapi tetamu kena datang dekat-dekat to view..or this..

A creative and DIY from nakkaweng..susun sebelah pelamin..good job la you dear!

The simplest and easiest way to arrange your hantaran is : letak atas katil je la....

How and where you arrange hantaran, most importantly, their safety..janganlah ada hantaran hilang ye..itu paling tragis :)

Lisa and Yusri nak kahwin this 23rd Feb! Whole Malaysia already aware about the news..fans must be really frust tertonggeng..jangan sedih..let us pray for their happiness..nak dirikan masjid ni..

I'm ok with their announcement..hehe even they dont seek my blessings..haha..

Hopefully Lisa betul-betul pakai tudung after kahwin..kurang sikit dosa si Yusry..comel apa pakai tudung? (refer Ombak Rindu)

From several articles i read about their wedding announcement, most likely this couple is yet to plan for their wedding..tema pun tak tau lagi..but harus sederhana..how sederhana and true is that for celebrities? only both of them and their families know better..hoho can't imagine your wedding in two months in counting but yet to plan anything..hurmm but never mind..mesti sangat stress wedding planner diorang kan?

Since i am definitely not gonna be hired as their wedding planner, untuk suka suka..i tried to imagine their wedding..melantik diri sendiri as their wedding planner la kononnnya..haha siapa siapa rasa nak join teka teka pun bisa aja..jom kite start..

1. Hantaran - fully fresh flowers by either Flora Etc, Ariweddingcouture..satu dulang range dlm myr300 for each deco..pastel colours combination of hydrangeas, orchids and roses..

2. Solemnization theme - solemnization on 23rd Feb to be held at Sultan Mizan Mosque, Putrajaya. I don't think there will be dais for that moment (like Mawi and Ekin)..just simple one like Dato' Dr Sheikh Muzaphar.. Lisa will be in white chiffon penuh batu2 satu badan and Yusry in white baju melayu and samping..handbouquet..hurmm maybe red roses? hurmm taknakla..how about pink combi of gerbera..roses..carnation..

3. Photographer and videographer - confirm ramai offer diri..i just vote for either CST or LHMediaTV for video again..more than one official photographers..if lisa and yusry ask me..obviously i would recommend nikaizu as en suami is in the team..i boleh tumpang sekaki buat2 busy..heee..en suami said maybe KRU production team will be official team dedicated for both events..

4. Reception theme - am not sure whether they combined into one reception but it will be held on 26th at PICC, Putrajaya. Dais will be something different..maybe Flora Etc, Arjuna Cipta or Nas Great Idea will be responsible for that..5 panels dais perhaps..kalau ada panel la kan..from my instinct its gonna be garden weddings with lots and lots of pastel fresh flowers (pink, purple, white)..both newly weds will be in dusty pink or baby grey..designer maybe rizalman or rizman ruzaini..gimik maybe yusry akan nyanyi to lisa lagu 'dekat padamu'..hahaha..ohh miasara will be one of flower girl..jalan depan sekali..

Something to Happen in New Year

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all ladies who ended your single lives with your most lovable guys on earth this year or maybe today..to wives turned to mommies..

Please always remember to be grateful as we still breath..inhale and exhale oxygen..thank you Allah for all your blessings and rezeki..yes..we are getting older every single day..hohoo cepat sangat masa berlalu tahun ni..

My blog is still new but my interest about wedding been awhile..if everything goes as per planned..am looking forward for some new things to share with all of you..yes..still something to do with weddings, stay beautiful and of course happiness..apekah itu? let us wait until time comes k..karang bising2 kat blog sekali tak jadi..haha buat malu aje..kat mana nak sorok muke mak ni..

360 Revolving Restaurant on 1st Year Wedding Anniversary

I've been silent for a week plus..sorry la ye siapa2 yg merindu..hohoho..really really busy with work..just sempat to stalk, blogwalking and comments other blogs..on top of that..i was having fever but nothing more happen k..maybe later i will make one entry about the whole story..let me review about our 1st year wedding anniversary celebration first k..

Every year, the whole world will be on day leave and celebrate our wedding together..of course la kan since we got married on Christmas..lagi2 this year extra one day as Christmas falls on Sunday...bestnyeee...

A week before anniversary, en suami said he wanted to have a dinner at KL Tower..at night..so the package for two will be bit pricey compared to lunch..takpela orang belanja mestilah wajib layan :) I went there once few years back for lunch and if not mistaken the restaurant's name was 'Restoran Berputar' but now change to '360 Revolving Restaurant' hurm maybe different management but the objective of having the spinning and revolving restaurant still the same.

When i first went there with cousin's family, i wore casual attire with no jeans and this time en suami said we can wear anything we feel comfortable..hurm entah betul entah tak..bit worried actually sekali salah tema kena halau ke kan..when i watched Laila Isabella before, Nasha Aziz and Hans Isaac wore formal attire..siap coat and dress bagai..but en suami said we already booked and rules and regulations in their website didn't mention about attires..so belasah je la ye..

We reached KL Tower around 815pm after Maghrib prayer..parkings were almost full..banyak betul lawatan sambil belajar..we parked suka hati je at yellow lane as no more parking available..

What en suami said about attire was true..when we arrived there and about to take lift straight to the restaurant, we saw few tourists in jeans and ladies even in short skirts..meaning it was free and easy dinner..when we took the lift, the guard asked if we want to stop at observation deck first before go to restaurant but since dua2 kebulur tahan lapar dari lunch for this dinner..straight away we requested for restaurant..

We were welcomed by the waitress and she showed us the table..en suami started with fruits..bajet healthy starter la sangat kan..

My starter were roti canai, pasta, black pepper beef and chocolate ball..sedap! We only ordered warm water as other drinks were not complimentary in the package.

My second plate was briyani rice, cauliflower, fish, another beef and secubit roasted duck, salad and mihun sup. I am allergic to seafood except fish since 6, so i avoid from taking those food..I am also not a Japanese fan, obviously i wont take sushi..haishh manyak rugi la belanja ini budak..banyak tak makan..

My third plate was desserts and fruits..they served Christmas savouries..banyak tak i makan? hurmm i dont think so..en suami also ate few..perut dah masuk angin katanya..

For those who yet to go, i believe the price we paid (RM396 for 2) were not only about the food..compared to few years back..food varieties were just so-so..nothing outstanding for me la..but the romantic moments with laid back songs, cahaya yang samar2, revolving restaurant were something different and memorable..makan slow2 dan nikmati keindahan malam should be ok :)

Kecurian Di Hari Perkahwinan

This is a true story happened..

Last week, en suami went for a another wedding photoshoot. The venue not to be released la kan untuk menjaga perasaan keluarga pengantin.

En suami said, while he was taking pictures, he saw one suspicious guy wearing tuck-in shirt with a bag pack walking around..tak senang duduk..en suami thought he was one of groom's/bride's family member..

After few moments, en suami saw mr groom caught this guy (yes mr groom di hari pekahwinan yang tangkap) and their family members came and talked to him..I was not in the picture when this incident happened but from en suami, the bride told groom that she saw this suspicious guy took one of her sister's handbag and put into his bag back..salute lah pengantin sempat jeling pencuri while attending guests..this incident actually happened late evening before couple went for outdoor..then couple pakcik makcik came and situation became bit tensed. This guy been scolded by the family and one of the pakcik tampar him..

What a shame la this guy..en suami cakap mak pengantin ade cakap "sanggup anak buat macam ni kat majlis makcik?" hopefully he's just working alone and nothing bad happen to other guests.

En suami said pencuri tu sempat makan lagi kt majlis before started his 'business'..

Inspektor sahab datang and he was brought to police station for further investigation..wedding videographer was one of the witness as he captured this guy in his video..

It was an open space wedding, bukan dalam hall and seating arrangement..its hard to control the guests..takkan nak suruh tunjuk kad baru boleh masuk kan..hope to be lesson learnt and b2be to be more careful on your belongings..some people may take advantages of your busy-ness..macam2 orang zaman sekarang..nak ambil jalan mudah untuk kaya..

One Year Wedding Anniversary - Save the date video

I admit, lately, i'm very busy with other things rather than updating blog..hehe ape yang busy sangat tu? i fall in love even more with encik aaron aziz after watched Ombak Rindu..i watched whole Nora Elena series again, youtube-ing and follow his tweeter..ampun suami..ini adalah duniawi semata-mata k..love you more than aaron aziz!

To tebus my negligence, today i will re-share my save the date video. motif?

Dec is our wedding anniversary month..dah banyak pokok krismas means christmas aka our anniversary around the corner..yes bit late to share, harini pun dah 12hb tapi layan je la ye..

The idea of save the date video ni actually a very tiba-tiba..i never thought of having even a wedding video..at this point of time, i found LHMediaTV quotation among the reasonable and affordable..i still remember at that time, i went to Pameran Pengantin and met en Lukman's wife, kak Ummi..she explained to me about the package and i asked her dengan muka tak tau malu " boleh tak bagi save the date free on top of solemnization and reception videos?"

Then she went to her husband, can't guess what they were discussing and tup tup en lukman kata "ok"...hehe i suspected kak Ummi goda2 en Lukman by offering special honeymoon at Terengganu (my wedding venue) alang-alang datang shoot wedding kami, dapat honeymoon terus :)

I still remember our shoot supposed to be Saturday around 8 am. En Lukman said morning is good for lighting, i have no idea at all. Pagi-pagi buta terpacak kt KLCC Park but ended up en Lukman and his assistant arrived late around 10am. Partner terlambat bangun katanye..hehe time tu rasa cam nak marah dah..haha lari mood mak..(hooho cam artis)..but en tunang time tu suruh sabar banyak2..ok fine i sabar..dahla dapat free kan..demand lebih pulak..

En Lukman was very creative and imaginative. Lagi2 mengarahkan si batu kayu cam saya ni suruh berlakon..what we told en Lukman, we want a video yang takde adegan pegang-pegang since we were yet to marry..(that's why ade adegan pegang cermin) while we were shooting, siap ada tourists datang bergambar..haha diorg ingat kami ni artis..hoho nasib baik tak mintak autograph..glemer jap mak..

Our scenes mostly at KLCC Park, KL Convention Centre and KLCC entrance.

After shooting pusing satu KLCC, we went to KFC and had lunch together. En Lukman shared about this interest in videography world. Memang boleh gang dengan en suami because he also loves everything about photography and videography..

Nov 2011 Wedding Pictures - Palace of the Golden Horses

Salam all,

This will be last entry for Nov 2011 weddings. I had opportunity to join my in laws for their good friend's son bertandang. I was really excited as the venue was Palace of the Golden Horses.

Almaklumlah nak kahwin kat sini tak mampu, join kemeriahan majlis orang pun jadila ye..

Their bertandang was 20.11.2011 while solemnization held 11.11.2011. Cantik date..

From the card, its garden wedding. I thought wedding would be an open space like Farah Af's wedding. Event supposed to start at 830pm. We have been informed that they were 3 other weddings at the same time so we planned to reach there early takut parking full pulak kan..around 630pm we reached there..so sempatla snap2 pic..

Wedding sangat grand (gold,yellow cream theme), hard to share everything in pics..these are their arches..masuk-masuk ada satu, when you walked down the stairs there's another 3 arches.

Tiba tiba, guests were impressed with fireworks 5-10minutes show

Doorgift were telur pindang in gold box and pineapple tart. hehe forgot to snap pics.

What i know from FIL, they spent MYR250/pax for dinner. Fireworks presentation itself cost ~RM120K..so kira2 lah sendiri total expenses ye..hehehe...lucky bride and groom..wish you happiness :)

Obviously am not invited to their wedding...i knew Zahiril pun from his hero role at Juvana TV3 while Sheera unfortunately i never see her in TV3 before..what i know, she is one of WHI host..

Earlier while watching Melodi, i melted when Zahiril said something sweet "Saya mahu habiskan seluruh hidup saya dengan seseorang yang dijadikan dari rusuk kiri saya" something like that~ sweet kan? hopefully their marriage lasts forever..

Salam all,

As i promised before, i will share wedding pics for Nov 2011 wedding. Let us start with Nana + Hariz dated 11.11.11.

Actually en husband supposed to be second photographer for NikAizu.com but since we just got back after Raya Haji then have to travel back for Nana's wedding, en suami said he was too tired to travel ulang alik..unfortunately i have to miss her wedding... :(..

Frust jugak actually because Nana already sent her wedding card..comel and am excited to attend her home reception and beach wedding..Nana is my younger sister's friend..so i forced my sister to attend on behalf..alang2 my sister and her hubby went back to Malaysia for raya..dan untuk tebus ketidakhadiranku..i made this entry dedicated to you :)

Dowry/ Duit Hantaran : Who decide?

November and December are synonyms to wedding..school holidays are significant reason for couple to end their single lives - easy for families to travel and bring their kids sepupu sepapat semua.. regardless monsoon season..wedding has to carry on..

For 2012 brides, have you decide how much dowry/wang hantaran from groom to you? For some families, dowry is kinda sensitive issue. Some families may set their own value, belah lelaki has to follow belah perempuan..and sometimes bride has to follow groom side because groom is the one who's giving the dowry.

Back to our topic today, who suppose to decide? groom or bride? or their families?

To share my own experience, en suami asked how much i want..hahaha dekat mata dah keluar "$$$" but obviously i won't demand..i asked him first..how about X..ok tak? (sorry as i won't reveal our dowry in public) he said ok..so we set our hantaran as X...full stop!

Then i told my mother and asked her opinion..mak kata ikut suka la..then en suami told his family..MIL actually wanted to give more...(alaaa rugi tak letak tinggi lagi :) ) but then since we already decided..she offered to add solemnization ring on top of hantaran..initially en suami and i only planned for a bracelet to save cost tapi MIL offered to tambah..both families agreed..simple and senang..

From my story, bride and groom decide and families follow. No miscommunication. Alhamdulillah..

Islam point of view - dowry is set by groom side as the husband will take responsible for this wife, tanggung dosa semua. In that case, bride and her families cannot demand. Regardless market sekarang berapa pun..unless bride is 'perfect'. I share below video for sharing from Ustaz Azhar.

I believe, the most important thing is communication.

Yes, groom has the right to set dowry but it is advisable if groom can be more considerate. Kalau famili pengantin perempuan bukan dari golongan yang senang, its best if groom can be more generous, kan nak jadi satu famili. Tolong menolong. I believe, dowry is used for kenduri/caterer. Not to forget, bride side has to prepare for engagement, solemnization and reception. More events to handle than one sambut menantu for groom side.

For bride, if you receive more hantaran than what you expect, save for future. Money can be used for both of you.

If conflict arise macam disagreement on hantaran, i would suggest bride and groom to discuss internally before involving families. Why do you need such amount? Thinking of pros and cons. Never create bad impression to both sides. Please be firm when making decision and use your soft skills when convincing your own families. You know them better, don't you? all the best :)

Still Waiting and Praying

I always hear from the other mommies and wives, if you want to get pregnant - please don't be stress..

What should i do? its impossible for me not to stress every single day..my nature of work really requires me to think and react fast. make decision dan dan tu jugak..else it will effect whole operations..late decisions involve money.. people around asking.."lamenye kahwin tak pregnant lagi ke?" haiyooo..am getting even stress..

Am i thinking too deep? perkara kecik pun dibesar2kan..husband said before..dont think too much..go with the flow..what should i do? i love to think..(haha bukan pandai pun..but it's me!)

Let me list down what i did all these while to avoid being stress:

10% checking Blackberry after working hours; kalau dulu pantang bunyi sikit terus tengok kot2 ade email ofis yang penting.
10% online after working hours, being online remembers me about work
Watch TV - rancangan menggembirakan cam masterchef (gembira ke?), stupid or sitcom series
Try to sleep well ( i always have dream and en suami said its not good as your brain is not hibernating well..betulke?)
Taking supplements -multivitamins plus folic acid, Biodex and minum air buah zuriat.

So far, my menstrual cycle is superb..every month and cycle is accurate (kalau lari pun sehari dua je) with minor PMS..maybe later jumpa doctor la mintak advise..

Maybe i banyak dosa la..sebab tu Allah bagi banyak dugaan kan :( Sometimes, syaitan selalu hasut Tuhan tak sayang or ade orang dengki (hehe sapela nak dengki kat kami)..sometime terfikir..ohh maybe nak mati syahid kot bila beranak nanti..sebab tu Tuhan bagi rezeki lambat suruh appreciate live dulu..but when en suami comforts me..i know it must be me going far from Him..

I know my mom worries about me, buat sembahyang hajat..cakap jangan stress fikir pelik pelik..maybe i need more vacation untuk cari ketenangan..

I read this doa in Malay..rasa sedih sangat baca..from our Prophet Zakaria:

"Wahai Tuhanku! Janganlah Engkau biarkan daku seorang diri (dengan tidak meninggalkan zuriat); dan Engkaulah jua sebaik-baik yang mewarisi" - Surah Al-Anbiya' ayat 89.

Please anyone comfort me..ada siapa2 pakar kaunseling tak? hehe..i want to keep trying and stay positive but every month..hampa..

This Christmas is our first wedding anniversary..how i wish to give special present to both families..

b) Malaysia Wedding Festival

11 - 13 November 2011 @ Hall 1 (Mid Valley Megamall)

Today, i will accompany my good friend to PWTC..haha i voluntarily love to be involved in wedding again..tiba-tiba jadi wedding consultant pulak..

Haritu dah teman another friend to Jalan TAR..searching for few bridal houses and shops i would recommend for her engagement day..even though she didn't buy anything due to budget constraint and kena check dengan menteri kewangan dulu..but i was soo happy for helping her around..

I'm not an expert or membangga diri..wedding i pun budget and ade flaws jugak..just giving my two cents and sharing my experiences to future brides :)

These doorgifts made me feel to write this entry..which one you choose?

Sila pilih satu sahaja k..tiada undi rosak tau..hehe

Same price but

A. One doorgift - size doesnt matter eg.patchi/godiva chocs/muffin/vintage mirror/candles/engraved plate with bride and groom pics..

B. One paperbag with lots and lots of small things inside..ade jajan..telur..rempeyek..mentos..handkerchief..calendar..

Dah pilih?

Part Time Maid

I'm husbandless for 3 weeks, he's attending courses 1 and 1/2 half week at Terengganu and 1 and 1/2 week at Putrajaya.

So last Saturday, i planned to get a part time maid to help me doing the houseworks..yeay sayang encik suami for allowing me hiring a maid..i know our house is not so big sampai boleh masuk rancangan Astana..but it's like a satisfaction to have somebody to clean the house..

First option, my officemate gave her mother's maid to help me with rm50 pay for the whole day. At very last minute, she had to cancel as her mother forgot that I already booked her maid and asked her to help their families kenduri..i just knew about 10pm pulak tu..i was very frustrated to know and start thinking maybe i have to clean the house on my own..

Takpe takpe..dengan semangat yang membara mencari part time maid..second option, i immediately googled and with 'part time maid ampang''s keyword..few more options at my finger tips now..hehe..suke2..i tried one number and sms-ed..a lady replied my sms "which area are you?"..i called her and she said they don't cover my area..uh uh..sedih..

Then i tried my luck and text another number..this time..i clearly state my home address and he/she replied..yeayy they cover my area..even at very last minute still can accomodate my request..sangat suka..

Indon maid came to my house the next day around 9am..doing all the houseworks starting from cleaning and buang habuk..vacuumm..mopping..sental toilet..even kemas2 and susun pinggan mangkuk dalam mini cabinet..sangat cepat dan pantas..i like~ i didn't ask her to iron and fold my clothes..that's minor for me to ask and let her focus more with 'wet tasks'..

How much did i pay her? rm70..(rm50 for 3hours 30min and additional 1 hour extra)..once in a blue moon pay and getting such good service..its good enough for me...bukan setiap minggu..before she went back..i gave her some tidbits yang confirm tak habis dimakan and mineral water..kesian tengok kerja peluh2..thank you adik maid yang rajin bekerja..

En suami don't prefer a full time maid as he wants some privacy and believe we can save more for future..lagipun stay as couple bukan banyak sepah pun..boleh exercise kemas rumah..for me..i would like to avoid from being too kind to outsiders..its hard to let go if i already trust and treat them as family..it's also important for me not to get involved kalau yang buat pasal cam mencuri dan goda suami orang..haishh simpang malaikat empat puluh empat..

My piece of advise for those who hire part time maid..please keep an eye of your belongings..especially small things like ring, watch..not to forget your handbag and laptop..its better to keep them with you..for self checking..i will put something small like pengepit baju ke tepi pintu..safety pin next to dining chair..to check if the maid executing her job well..kalau tak beralih benda2 tu semua..i will show her and ask to do it again..garang tak? tak kan? haha bayar kot...before she goes back...i randomly check if anything missing..if everything ok..i'll pay her accordingly..

Terharu~ I checked my facebook this morning..suddently i saw LHMediaTV repost our wedding highlight..

Almost 10 months already and feel like soo berhabuk for future b2be to watch my wedding yang simple tu..the venue - my home sweet home not Royal Chulan Hotel..for deco -mostly i DIY,rent, bought on my own, did survey, asking people around and blogwalking..tak mampu nak book Flora etc and Nas Great Idea..due to distance and obviously the cost..

But but but..LHMediaTV really made my day! I can't stop believing my wedding had the specialty on its own..suke suke~

Until today, i can't stop promoting LHMediaTV when friends asking about my wedding videographer..En Lukman and his wife were really creative, committed, warm and friendly (even they look bit shy shy :) )..En suami and I were really comfortable discussing, listening to his experiences and new ideas..

Part Time Wedding Business

Salam all,

1 Zulkaedah already..how Ramadhan and Syawal left us soo fast..harus berusaha ganti puasa cepat2..Selamat Pengantin Baru to newlyweds!

Talking about wedding again, en suami is now busy with his new part time business..its been a month i guess, took wedding pictures somewhere Cheras, Subang, Putrajaya and Seremban..en suami is second photographer of NikAizu.com.

I realized en suami love to be with camera since university..rugi I tak pandai posing dan batu..kalau tak boleh jadi model sendirian berhad dah :) MIL said he loves to take family pictures since sekolah rendah..no wonder bila tengok album selalu muka die takde...en suami always takes pictures..suka2 for my office and family events....wanna see his touch? click Syazwanwi.com.

En suami said he wants to join aizu as he loves what he does..from a hobby to a part time job..kerja full time alhamdulillah dah ok dah tapi he loves to get more for his wifey..haha i see money money money..haha sangat mata duitan..kesian en suami..not enough rest during weekend..thank you en suami for planning to buy sofa bed from ikea from his part time job...yet to buy but i can smell the sofa already..can't wait :) kumpul duit sikit sikit k..syukur alhamdulillah!

Sorry gorgeous lisa lisut for not attending your wedding..i am still waiting for your wedding card until today..tq for tagging me the map through facebook but unfortunately MIL at very last minute did open house..been busy helping around..insyaAllah i will try my best to courier your wedding present..wedding u sangat cantek lisaaa :) boleh tak kawen lagi sekali?

Saturday night, after PIL's open house..we went to en suami's schoolmate good friend..the venue? Duchess Place..the venue reminds about Elyana's solemnization..harus pakai baju mahal sikit..mekap lebih sikit..datang awal sikit nak ambil gambar..i had high expectation about the wedding...mesti grand gile...huuu~~

And yes, wedding sangat grand and cantik sangat2..sangat nak nangis tengok..jom kita layan..as an ordinary guest of the night, i believed the theme was garden wedding in teal vintage orange..am i correct mrs bride? hehee...

Still in Raya mode..anyone planning for Hari Raya open house? What a busy month kan..jemputan kahwin..open house..me hosting open house? hehe not yet lorr..rumah kecik ajers..

Receive a reminder from Liyana yang comel, to update our first Hari Raya as husband and wife..hehe..tq dear..

Ok shall we start with who's side to celebrate Raya?

Actually both of us didn't discuss about this..both hometown was in Terengganu (2hours driving from en suami's granny house to my families house)..i was hoping en suami to start conversation,discussing about Raya but suddently on final week of Ramadhan..he said..

Suami : "Cuti ni kita balik rumah Tokma (PILs semua dah ada kt rumah Tokma) dulu, dekat nak raya balik rumah Mak."

Isteri : "Raya first kat mana?" (*berdebar-debar tanya*)

Suami : "Raya first kat rumah Mak"

Yeay!! I love my husband..

I really love to be with my PILs families but thinking of my family..not a big family..(my mom is the only child left..makcik pun dah meninggal..nenek pun dah takde) i was really hoping to celebrate first raya with my family..actually every holiday/celebration i wish to be with my family first..as we both are working in KL, its not so often we go back to see my parents in Terengganu, spending more time with in laws (they stay in KL)..siap rasa nak nangis bila fikir hari raya yang sunyi because my younger sister also not here in Malaysia..youngest sister will be the only child left..

So after office hour on Friday, en suami drove back to Terengganu, straight to his grandparents house.We arrived almost midnight and had our sahur and break fast with his family. Two days before Raya, we went back to my parents, performed solat hari raya, visited my late Wan and Tokki's graves and went to pakcik and makcik.

Second day of Hari Raya, en suami drove back to his grandparents house. Visited his parents and saudara mara pulak..had BBQ..

Yes, very tiring, ulang alik ulang alik but good things i learnt from our Hari Raya journey..

Do early bag packing..penat woo kemas baju for 9 days..
Dont forget to bring back duit raya..hehe we left duit raya in KL..bawak balik sampul je..hehe..
En suami's families are close to each other..love to be together even though all of them are staying just nearby..i am still learning to accept these kind of environment.. totally different from my nucleus family.
As a married couple, you have to be fair..concern about your family and in laws..if you always be with your family..why not spending more days with your in laws..i heard hadith about this before..
What a happy family i had. My mom was so excited when she knew we were going to celebrate first day Raya together, for first time ever she made satay specially for en suami..siap minta resipi from her good friend..before this..she made nasi minyak every year..never ever before. PILs also very kind to me..MIL gave me few ready made baju raya.Tokma kemas bilik and asked us to stay bit longer..sorry Tokma..
Kena beranak ramai2..hehe meriah..

Selamat Hari Raya dan Merdeka all!

Thousand apologies for not being able to update blog. Thank you Lisa (cepatnye Lisa dah nak kawen) and Nida for your concern. Sangat terharu rupanya ada yang selalu baca blog saya. Ok let me tell you what happened to me for past few weeks.

I was tooo busy with office works..al maklumla nak cuti raya panjang..9 days so many things to settle, even working during Hari Raya..luckily i was working at mother's house..not at in laws..typing mails, calling people..huuu..

Sometimes, i wish i can be a Supermak..doing houseworks on fast mode. End of the fasting month, i was busy doing bag packing for long leaves, prepare meal for sahur after isya' prayer n solat terawih kat rumah, do the laundries..

Office works and house works made me feel very tired..not complaining but to share..sorry ladies..

Next entry, i will share our first time Raya as husband and wife. as a kick-start, jeling2 la gambar di atas tu k.. en suami pretended to be cute and sweet..

Salam all,

Believe most bride and groom will choose Al Quran as one of the hantaran. A holy symbol for Muslim. You can choose either mini/pocket Al Quran, normal Al Quran made from different materials and colours or special custom made - hand made. Some people may choose a translation Al Quran.

What ever it is, doesn't matter how big/small or how much you have to pay for a single Al Quran, the most important thing, whether you read it, understand it. (tiba tiba terasa kepada diri sendiri). Bukan letak dalam rak sampai berdebu..

I am not a hafizah, khatam Al Quran more than 10 times, but once in a while i recite the Al Quran.. sangkut sangkut tak cukup nafas..still lupa ni ayat ni Mad Lazim mane eh? Siapa ingat lagi beza Izhar Halqi dan Izhar Shafawi?Kalau tengok movie or dengar lagu, siap dialog and lirik hafal.. *shame on me*

In view of Ramdhan, i would like to share what i got from my best friend. Its's a starter..

First thing, we must know how to read arabic numbers. i got from google and based from my previous arabic classes in school..tu pun dah ingat2 lupa..huu~~

Done? Ok let's proceed with some examples.

Example 1.

If we want to know Juz' 5 at what page:

5-1 = 4, 4 times 2 equals to 4 x 2 = 8

Put 2 after the answer.

So Juz' 5 at page 82.

Now, please check your Holy Quran at page 82.

Refer the arabic numbers on top..Interesting right?

Example 2.

If we want to know Juz' 10 at what page:

10-1 = 9, 9 times 2 equals to 9 x 2 = 18

Put 2 after the answer.

So Juz' 10 at page 182.

Now, please check your Holy Quran at page 182. Betulkan?

Ok last one..

Example 3.

If we want to know Juz' 23 at what page:

23-1 = 22, 22 times 2 equals to 22 x 2 = 44

Put 2 after the answer.

So Juz' 23 at page 442.

Now, please check your Holy Quran at page 442.

Satu Hari Di Hari Puasa

Kring kring! (bukan alarm tone handphone yang sebenar)

Hari ini hari pertama bersahur bersama suami. He woke me up at 0515 am and surfing the internet, watching tv while waiting for me to prepare the food...haha lucky to me have husband who loves to sleep less :)

En suami has to eat rice for sahur but another bonus point, he can eat whatever food that his mother and i served..MIL cakap en suami tak cerewet. What we had for our sahur?

Nasi putih (i cooked last night siap2), Tomyam (MIL tapau-ed for us), Telur Dadar (masak time sahur) & Ayam Goreng (juga masak time nak sahur) grand tak? biase je kan..

As today is our first day fasting, hopefully we can leave office early due to flexi hours time (around 4pm?) nak singgah bazaar Ramadhan~ talking about bazaar Ramadhan, you will definitely find lots and lots of traditional kuih muih and beverages.

Mini Bola Bola Cinta

MIL asked her good friends who went to Vietnam and bought me these lovely lamps. Actually I was jealous to see en suami's sister bought one for her..haha takdela..

I saw one shop at Axis Atrium, Ampang sold the same lamps..if not mistaken a box consists of 10 lamps with the price of MYR30+. Can u count my lamps? Bought at Vietnam with same price as Malaysia..hurmm..

Anyone to order if I ask MIL's friend or me myself go to Vietnam and buy these lamps? perhaps some wedding deco ideas..

I've been thinking and humming the late Michael Jackson everygreen song - Black or White while writing this entry!

Hallo ladies..

I love pastels, soft colours for wedding. Some brides prefer black and white. For the westerners, these colours are quite common. Yesterday, topic was the perfect wedding knife..bukan untuk membunuh ye kawan2..untuk potong kek mesra2..

What can i say is that..Holding knife position..

The first and second pic :about the same..hurmm bride using two hands with groom supports.

While the third pic : the bride holds the knife while the groom supports her..

Which one you prefer? hurmm..susahnye soalan ni..depends on the situation or main redah je la kot..siapa yang sempat capai pisau dulu la kan.. :)

Most importantly, hold the knife together..carefully put the knife onto the cake - same level as yours..why? u need energy to make sure the cake is safely cut..potong pun kena lemah gemalai..believe its a proper way..takkan nak letak pisau kat kek paling tinggi kot..huhu..

Jangan potong kek cepat2 k..do not rush..hold the knife together and smile..the best smile you've ever had..cheeeeseee :) then cut the cake slowly and slowly..

Untuk majlis suapan manje2, some people prefer to prepare two small slices of cake awal (meaning family members dah siapkan kek lain..so pengantin takdela susah2 kene potong lagi)..some prefer to use small spoon or fork and take small pieces of cake..some prefer using hands..

Have u ever think of having a perfect knife for your cake cutting session?

It depends on the brides. few prefer not to have one, save cost. few prefer to have one cake for solemnization and one for reception or even engagement pun dah ada potong kek..so banyakla pisaunya..

For the cakes, you can choose either fondant, dummy or normal cake, more traditional - 'pulut kuning'. Most important part is the knife u choose. Haha setakat 5minit je time spend potong kek..some people may think..ape la penting sangat pasal pisau2 pun nak kecoh but still..its your moment kott..that's what we call a bridezillaaaaa :)

Few ideas i managed to googled..few deco choices but the material - its stainless steel. You can DIY the deco if you wish...senang je kot..just the matter of time..if you are kinda detail person, scroll down please...tell me which one heart u the most?

I believe its a new website..so we cannot aspect all vendors around Malaysia (including their details) to be in this directory..give sometime for them to develop..save the link and check the site from time to time..less google (check one by one) and last last terhilang link vendor..penatkan? dont worry i pun selalu jadi camtu time dulu2..

Its great to have one website/directory compiling all wedding vendors..from bridal, favours, caterers, honeymoon, videographers and photographers etc etc..you can sort from state as well..

Let us check the definition i found from here and here.

Panas panas..today will be the last episode for tv3 series - Nora Elena..

I believe all ladies out there melting everytime watching Seth Tan (Aaron Aziz) - charming..romantikus..caring..huaaa can we still find such a good life partner like him..yes its a fairytale but its not impossible..

I watched ceramah from eila blog yesterday. Ustaz said, the strong part of every lady is their emotions..for a husband..tackle her heart..obviously she will stick to you..follow u and be with u..what lady wants are the sincerity, the 'soft touch', a family man who can lead you..your physical appearances will be number two..less important..kalau dapat lagi bagus *wink*

Some guys that i know (not all guys ok) are less sensitive..cakap ikut sedap mulut..and always believe they are leaders and ladies have to follow them..before kawen semua ok ye..bagi bunga laaa..but after married? where are all those flowers..kata kata pujangga...people can change..like Seth Tan, he admitted his mistakes and seek forgiveness..depends on Nora Elena to accept but siapa la tak cair/lembut hati kalau hari2 duk jaga..caring..siap bagi kad sorry every day time Nora Elena admitted.

Back to people can change, if you guys know that you are less sensitive not necessarily to be romantic..learn from friends..kalau malu nak tanya kawan pun..use latest technology..google~ try something and do not stand still..

Review : Secret Mission DIY

As promised, time to reveal my secret mission..just a simple one tapi tajuk cam kecoh..huhu..

My younger sister (Kak Ngah) married last week dated June 7..that's why as a kakak pengantin..busy tersangat..

If you read my previous entry here, my DIY was something to do with daisies..since my sister's wedding bit simple..i was hoping for canopies deco..mine was 62 paper lanterns for arabian canopies rented from rendabellezza..

My sister's canopies were a half-shaped with 50 artificial red, pink and yellow daisies..bought from Thank Q @ Nilai 3..from MYR2.90/each to MYR2.50 sebab beli banyak.. credit to Esprit Suria KLCC for the idea :)

Wedding Disaster - Cancelled!

Don't know what's happening to my blog..thank you lisa and qyla for highlighting..no wonder nobody comments..haha ingatkan dah takde siapa baca blog i dah..haha bajet orang bace *blush blush*

Ok back to my entry today..applicable to bride-to-be..a sensitive topic..mintak dijauhkan but not impossible..

What happen to you if one day..your fiance calls (via handphone k) and cancels your wedding? full stop! this happened to my friend..huaaa 3 days before wed and he called off..what's his reason and how it happened..i have no idea..nobody dare to ask..heard from friends..it was a family arrangement and both never meet before...regardless..but 3 days before wed? what do you think the reason behind it?

Like any other malay dramas..

Can be..either guy or lady..not ready for commitment..terkantoi dengan orang lain berkelakuan tidak senonnohss..attitude..

Can be..illness..sakit yang sukar diubati..kritikal..called off the wedding sebab taknak bebankan..hurmm..its complicated..

Nevertheless, if this happen to me..first thing blurr..and blurr..and blurr again..then crying endlessly..thinking about family pride..people talking around..money is no longer important..deposit pelamin and caterer memang sah sahla burn..doorgift yang beribu nak bagi siapa?

Happy birthday en suami Wan Mohd Syazwan..

Lots of love and muahss to you! million thanks for accepting me as your wife..i will always pray for your good health..safety and your career and happiness dunia dan akhirat..

We were born in the same year - i was born 4 months earlier than him and that's the reason why he always says that he will be younger than me..haha we are now equal en suami..tak boleh berlagak2 lagi..

Nothing to give..sebab en suami mintak LED TV bapak besauu and motor besar gajah which obviously unaffordable for me to buy..but i give you my heart..so i'm heartless.. ngehehe...kidding!

I planned something suprise..not a big one..just bought a Famous Amos red truck and tempek small birthday card..

This how the story began..

En suami was telling me to sleep earlier sebab penat kerja- 27 May before 12midnight..(dalam hati i mesti die dah lupe ni) ok fine...i went to second room aka our prayer room and put the truck on top of sejadah..thinking he would see while about to perform Subuh prayer tomorrow morning..then i accompanied him to sleep..time was 1150pm..i duk borak2 taknak kasi die tidur..but he asked "kenapa tak tidur2 lagi ni?"

I keep on checking the time and when it turned 12midnight...happy birthday en suami~

Next morning, en suami woke up for Subuh prayer and found the truck..but before that actually he didn't notice and said to me "ingatkan letak sepah2 hadiah orang lain..nasib baik perasan ada kad"...haish en suami en suami..berfikiran isteri buat sepah...huhuhu..takpela..birthday boy punya pasal..maybe he was sleepy pagi2 buta..

I also prepared his favourite dish.. nasi putih, singgang ikan, telur masin..

5 Months Wedding Anniversary: Seeking Prayer and Support

Salam all..

Lil bit of emotional entry..hurmm..today is our 5 months of wedding anniversary..

I still remember last 5months at this time (i wrote this entry at 0925hrs)..i was waiting for en suami and his families to arrive my house for solemnization..each bride may experience your own moments...

Yes, i am yet pregnant..

Before married, few friends asked "kalau dah kawen nanti nak plan ke camne?" i said "hurm..tak plan kot tapi kalau boleh nak honeymoon dulu..maybe 6 months kawen baru start fikir"

Financially, Alhamdulillah both of us are working at the same building and career wise, i am no longer a workaholic person cam dulu..

Sometimes, i am also in doubt - can i be a good mother? rasa cam budak2 lagi..i am not a baby-lover..suke2 tengok gitu jela kan..mase die comel2 tak grumpy..macam2 fikir..can i have my own quality time after giving birth? can i manage my time for housework..husband..myself equally? mesti sakit beranak kan?

But later..after 3 months..when more friends and officemates keep on asking me..maybe no intention..just a caring or creating conversation mode..more or less afffects me..rasa sedih sangat..do i have problem? or did i do something wrong? ke tak cukup berusaha (huhu soalan cam kelakar)?

One by one, heard good news from friends..morning sickness la..medical checkup la..cravingla..huu even good friends yang kawen after i pun ada yang dh pregnant~huu congrats to all of you! tu tak campur kawan2 yang selamat deliver..ok i jealous!

Thank you mama (MIL) and mak for not asking...maybe they understand how stress am i..or maybe they think its still too early what..baru 6bulan kot? I dont know what's inside en suami's mind..he always pretend to be cool cam takde pape berlaku..but there were times where he checked my tummy and said "ade baby dalam ni" padahal i memang buncit pun..everytime i feel exhausted ke terextra tidur ke..he loves to say "mesti penat ade baby kan?" huuu~~i feel soo guilty..

What am i suppose to do?

Think positive..i know Allah is testing me..He has his own plans.i really believe that..look around me..lots of ladies are not even have life partner..bertahun2 kawen takde anak..look at me..i am healthy and having a happy family..its just my time yet to come..
Keep and continue praying..all of us make mistakes and we are not perfect..owhh one thing to share..if you ternazar..settle cepat2..maybe we owe Allah something..alhamdulillah i dah berjaya ganti puasa semua..
Berusahalah...dont stress, folic acids..eat healthy foods and be prepared. owh i bought fertility plan to check my ovulation time..as of now..i dont prefer any medication..let it comes naturally..after 1 year...then have to plan something..

Can you do me a favour? families and friends, please support and pray for us.. only Allah can repay your kindness..
